*1923 STOEGER AMERICAN EAGLE LUGER. Cal. 9 mm. Commercial Luger with 6” tapered bbl, high front sight, marked on the left side “made in Germany”, without serial number or proof mark. The frame is marked on the top with an American eagle and the right side of the frame is marked “A.F. Stoeger, Inc/New York”. It has full-checkered walnut grips, which are unnumbered and an unnumbered stainless body wood base magazine. SN 7182t. CONDITION: Very fine, retains about all of a fine professionally restored finish. The eagle over the chamber is slightly thin, otherwise the markings are sharp. Grips are fine with light diamond point wear. The magazine body is mostly gray metal with a good base. Brilliant shiny bore. 4-49328 (2,500-3,000)
