SMITH BROTHERS DECORATED VASE. Beautiful enamel decoration of pink roses with green and brown leaves and traceries on a yellow shading to white background. There is also a butterfly and insect hovering over the blossoms. Retains original Smith Bros. paper label on underside. Vase comes with a letter of provenance “Purchased from the Congdon Sisters of New Bedford in 1970. Wedding gift to their mother in 1890s from their relative the Smith Bros.” SIZE: 9-3/4″ t. CONDITION: The interior of the vase has a metal screw which has adhered to the glass. Otherwise, very good to excellent. 5-65778 (1,200-1,500)
