*SCARCE EARLY SMITH & WESSON MODEL 29 DA REVOLVER. Cal. 44 mag. SN S207870. Scarce nickel finish, 4-screw with 5” bbl, red ramp & white outline sights, diamond checkered medallion magnum grips and target trigger & hammer. Accompanied by an original Smith & Wesson black leatherette presentation case that has been relined with purple satin. Also accompanies is a Smith & Wesson letter identifying this revolver as having been shipped August 16, 1961 to Thompson Diggs, Fresno CA as a special order. Mr. Jinks states that this is a very rare revolver. In addition there is a note dated 9-8-00 which states that there are only 2 nickeled model 29 5” bbl revolvers known to exist and goes on to state that this may be the only one with 4-screw frame. CONDITION: Very fine. Retains about 95% original nickel with muzzle and edge wear and a light cylinder line. Case is extremely fine, relined as noted with original type tools.
