FACTORY ENGRAVED PRESENTATION WALTHER PP. Cal .32ACP Rare factory engraved Walther with 4” bbl and black Walther banner hard rubber grips. It is beautifully engraved over all the surfaces with the primary motif being deep relief oak leaves and acorns with a punch-dot background. The left grip has a 1” silver, laurel wreath oval engraved with the initials “CK”. These initials are believed to represent Curt Kaul, who was a Gruppenfuhrer (Lt. General) in the SS. In 1939 he is listed as the Chief of SS recruiting and in 1941 was appointed Chief of Police for Wurttenburg, Baden and Alsace. Accompanying this lot are about 38 reproduced Nazi documents relating to Gen. Kaul, several reproduced pictures and a paperback book of SS Officers List as of 30 January 1942. Gen. Kaul is listed in the index as number 54 and shows his decorations, lists his Nazi Party number as 244954, his SS number as 3392 and his date of birth 5.10.90. It shows that he was a General Lieutenant and had become a Colonel on 20.4.37. There are no other high ranking SS officers with the initials CK listed in this publication. SN 192920 which would indicate it was made just before Goering’s Walther. CONDITION: Good to very good. Traces of original blue remain inside the trigger guard, on the trigger and hammer with the balance having been cleaned. The engraving is worn and is now a cleaned metal color overall. The left grip shows heavy wear around the medallion and the right grip moderate wear. The finger rest magazine has also been cleaned and has moderate pitting on the left side. Bore is bright and shiny, good mechanics. 4-50064 (4,000-7,000)
