*SMITH & WESSON PRE-MODEL 29 DA REVOLVER. Cal. 44 Mag. SN S179161. Fine early Model 29, 4-screw frame with 5” bbl, red ramp & white outline sights, target trigger & hammer with diamond checkered medallion magnum grips. This revolver has an unusual feature in that the serial number is stamped on the frame inside the yoke cutout and not in the bbl ejector rod channel and does not appear on the back of the cylinder. Accompanied by an original Smith & Wesson black leatherette presentation case, relined, with tools. Also accompanies is a S & W letter identifying this revolver and indicating shipment on May 21, 1958 to H. H. Harris, Chicago, IL. Mr. Jinks states that this revolver was one of the first 500 manufactured with a 5” bbl. CONDITION: Very fine to extremely fine. Minor muzzle & sharp edge wear with a light cylinder line. Slightly nicked grips, crisp mechanics and bright shiny bore. Very fine case. 4-51839 JR546 (600-1,000)
