N. CURRIER (PUBLISHER 19th C) “THE LAST WAR-WHOOP”. Conninghan Checklist No. 3458. Large folio colored lithograph after a painting by A. F. Tait. Under title is written “New York, Published by Currier & Ives, 152 Nassau Street”. Scene shows a cowboy with handgun and rifle on horse above a recently shot Indian who is giving one last whoop. Housed in an antique and possibly original wood frame with gold lining. SIGHT SIZE: 21-1/4” x 27-1/2”. CONDITION: Very good, no tears, strong color. Sky has been overpainted. 9-72018 (2,000-3,000)
