DELUXE SPECIAL ORDER WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 44 WCF (44-40). SN 156204. Early 3rd Model deluxe ’73 with special order 26” oct bbl, half nickel front sight and semi-buckhorn rear sight. It has sgl set trigger. Left side of lower tang, under wood, is marked with assembly number “5463” and “XX”. The assembly number is also found inside toe of buttplate, however it is not found in top tang channel of the buttstock indicating replacement wood. Wood is very beautiful 2-3X checkered, flame grain, American walnut with “H” style checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with black insert in grip cap and crescent buttplate with trap. CONDITION: Very fine, as very beautifully & professionally restored with bright orig style case colors on receiver, lever, hammer & buttplate and orig style blue on bbl & magazine tube. Wood is sound with a few minor storage nicks with a fine hand-rubbed finish. Mechanics are crisp, very bright shiny bore. Bbl may be a modern replacement. 4-30353 JR239 (10,000-20,000)
