MEISSEN BREAKFAST TEA SERVICE IN ORIENTAL TASTE. 19th century. Comprised of teapot, undertray, creamer, covered sugar, two cups, two shallow bowls and a bread plate. Polychrome decorated overall with clusters of flowers and sprigs and with rose bud finials. All marked with crossed swords with underglaze-blue, some with “20” underneath mark. SIZE: 10-1/4″ x 8-1/2″ (tray); 7-1/2″ h (pitcher); 6″ dia. (plate). PROVENANCE: From the private collection of Dorothy-Lee Jones. CONDITION: Teapot knop on lid with chips. Creamer with repaired foot.
