*SPRINGFIELD M1 GARAND. Cal. 30-06. SN 1770416. 24” bbl dated “1-55”. Navy D gun. Navy competition. The gun will letter. This is a 1943-44 vintage Garand that was rebuilt in mid-50’s & a gunsmith has turned it into a match rifle. Gun is very securely bedded into stock so we are unable to disassemble to inspect op-rod & internal components. Gun appears to be in very good condition. CONDITION: Receiver has approx. 90% orig finish & is sporting a National Match rear sight assembly. Bolt is a Springfield-12 that retains approx. 90% orig finish. Op-rod retains 95% finish, bbl retains 95% orig finish as does gas cylinder assembly. Rifle is in a military stock that has been glass bedded & very heavily varnished as have the upper & front hand guard assemblies. Bbl has very bright bore with very crisp rifling & should be a very good shooting gun. Very shiny bore. 4-57844 (1,000-2,000)
