*WINCHESTER M1 GARAND. Cal.7.62 mm. SN 1237720. 24” bbl. This Garand is an example of M1’s that were rebuilt during late 1950’s & early 1960’s using the H.P. White bbl insert to convert them from 30-06 to 308. This bbl is marked “7.62 NATO M11”. These guns were re-manufactured primarily by A.M.F. Corp. under contract from government. Most went to U.S. Navy but there were a quantity that went to foreign countries such as Pakistan & other friendly NATO countries. CONDITION: Receiver has approx. 35% finish remaining being a 1942 Winchester receiver. Bolt is a WWII Springfield with approx. 40% finish remaining. Bbl is a 1952 Springfield bbl that was upgraded to 7.62 with approx. 85% finish remaining. Gas cylinder has approx. 85% finish as does trigger housing assembly in its entirety. Stock is in very good condition with very minor dings in nice finish although there are no inspector marks visible. Hand guards are in somewhat lesser condition and appear to have had several dents & dings taken out of them, but there are still some throughout both hand guards.
