*SCARCE “1913” DATED ERFURT LUGER WITH STOCK LUG & RIG. SN 7038a. Cal. 9 mm. Scarce “ERFURT” Luger with 4″ bbl, Erfurt & crown logo on front toggle link, “1913” date over chamber & Imperial proofed parts. Accompanied by an orig brown leather holster stamped “Fr Stephan / Muhlhauseni.Thur. / 1918” inside the flap & stamped “L.Z.A. / spread winged eagle / J. Erfurt”, two matching numbered magazines & an Imperial proofed takedown tool. This is a rare Imperial military variation in very nice, as issued, configuration. PROVENANCE: Doug Smith Collection. CONDITION: Extremely fine, all matching including grips & magazines with correct proofed tool & holster. Overall retains about 97-98% strong orig factory blue with only slight muzzle edge wear & faint sharp edge wear & about 85% orig straw colors. Grips show light wear with one or two chipped diamonds, showing nice wood grain. Magazines are in near mint condition. Tool is very good. Mechanics are crisp, strong sharp bore with fine frosting. Holster is very good, showing moderate wear & minor cracking and flaking with an oiled finish. 4-36135 JR194 & BS (4,000-6,000)
