FINE MEXICAN STERLING SILVER PUNCH BOWL SERVICE. Mid-20th century. Comprising a large bowl with everted rim and pedestal base, a matching circular undertray, twelve matching cups, each with scrolled handle and rolled rim, and a matching ladle. The edges all with applied scrolling leaftips. All pieces marked “STERLING/925/MRR (in script)/MEXICO” above the Mexican eagle hallmark. The ladle additionally marked “PERLITA TAXCO”. Total weight: 242 troy ounces. SIZE: BOWL: 7-1/4″ h. x 16-1/2″ dia. TRAY: 21-1/2″ dia. CUP: each 2-1/4″ h. LADLE: 14″ l. PROVENANCE: From a fine Connecticut home. CONDITION: Some cups “out of round”.
