*EXTRAORDINARY AS ISSUED WWII 1938 S/42 LUGER & HOLSTER RIG. SN 1197d.. Cal. 9 mm. Spectacular WWII Luger with 4″ bbl, “S/42” on front toggle link, “1938” over chamber & eagle “63” proofs on right side of receiver. Accompanied by an extraordinary orig brown holster marked on back “AUWARTER & BUBUCK / 1938 / STUTTGART” with waffenampt “WaA 101”, two orig matching numbered magazines & an eagle “63” proofed takedown tool. This is an extraordinary & complete rig, as issued. PROVENANCE: Doug Smith Collection. CONDITION: Extraordinarily fine, all matching including grips & two magazines. Overall retains about 99%+ strong orig factory blue/black finish with blued small parts. Grips are near mint with crisp checkering & nice wood grain showing through. Magazines are as new. Mechanics are crisp, brilliant shiny bore. Holster is in extraordinary, near new condition with a couple of thin spots on flap & light scratches on back. Takedown tool is near new.
