*SMITH CORONA 03A3 RIFLE. Cal. 30 with 22 conversion kit installed. SN 3620901. 24” bbl & is marked “RA 7-44”. This is a re-built re-finished Smith Corona 03A3 with a Numrich Arms 22 conversion kit installed. These conversion kits consisted of a bbl sleeve, a floorplate assembly, a magazine & a 1922 M2 bolt. They were very popular in the 1950’s & 60’s for being able to shoot your 03 or 03A3 very inexpensively. CONDITION: Rifle has 95-98% refinish on receiver. Bbl has been replaced & has 98% orig finish. Front bayonet band is blued & in 98% finish. Stacking swivel band is parkerized in 98% finish with some dried grease on it. Middle bbl band is blued & in 98% condition with one scratch on left hand side. Numrich modified floorplate is in 90% condition with some corrosion. Buttplate is Smith Corona but has virtually no finish left on it with some surface rust. Buttstock is Remington with two cross bolts & no inspector marks. It is in very good condition with only very minor scuffing throughout. Upper hand guard is also in excellent condition with only minor rub marks. 22 bbl insert is slightly leaded but in excellent condition with very good rifling. 4-57841 (1,000-2,000)
