CHINESE SCULPTED SILK ORIENTAL RUG. Mid-20th century. The central round sculpted medallion depicting exotic birds and flowers within a conforming floral surround. The beige field with pale pink stylized clover leaves, centering two clusters of flying birds, the square spandrels each with birds perched on leafy branches within floral and guilloche-sculpted borders. All in pale pastel colors. SIZE: 9′ x 6′. PROVENANCE: From an extensive private Gulf Coast collection. CONDITION: Very fine condition.
