TWO SILVER COMPACTS.

TWO SILVER COMPACTS. 1) Fan shaped compact has allover engraved floral design and plain interior. Stamped on inside edge “800”. 2) Sterling silver compact has floral engraved decoration on front and back with monogram in the center of front and back. The edges have a gold wash as does the fitted interior. Interior has a mirror on one side which swings open to reveal a leather pocket as well as a celluloid notepad with sterling silver pencil. The opposite side has two hinged lids, one covering a powder box with puff, the other opens to reveal two coin holders attached to the lid. Marked on the interior “Sterling”. The compact is finished with a sterling silver chain. SIZE: 1) 3-1/2″ w x 2-7/8″ d. 2) 2-3/4″ w x 3-1/4″ d. PROVENANCE: George Klabin Collection. CONDITION: Both very good to excellent. #2 has a small dent to one corner. 5-67511 (100-200)
