SMITH & WESSON NEW MODEL #3 REVOLVER. SN 22958. Cal. .44. Nickel finish. 6-1/2” ribbed rnd bbl. It has a factory installed lanyard loop through the serial number with the number re-stamped at the rear edge. This revolver comes with a factory letter, which shows that it was shipped to Takata & Co, Yokohama, Japan. It was shipped in the current configuration. There are no Japanese markings on the gun. CONDITION: Retains about 85% orig nickel, flaking on the right side of the frame and on the right side of the silver. Good traces of casehardening on the hammer but faded on the trigger guard. Grips have minor chips and bruises. Action is fine. 4-53858 (2,500-3,500)
