SMITH & WESSON NEW MODEL #3 TARGET REVOLVER. Cal. 32-44. SN 31. Nickel finish, 6 ½” keyhole bbl. Silver bead front sight and target rear sight. This is a pre-production sample with rare Winans/Bisley drift adjustable sight. It has mismatched diamond checkered walnut grips. CONDITION: Fine to very fine, all matching except the grips. Retains 90 – 92% strong orig nickel with scattered spots of flaking turned to light patina with some fine pitting. Trigger guard is a gray patina. Hammer retains about 80% faded case colors, stronger on the left side. Grips show moderate to heavy wear and are sound. Mechanics are fine. Strong bright bore with scattered light to moderate pitting. 4-53859 JL (2,500-4,000)
