*CUSTOM ENGRAVED MAUSER SPORTING RIFLE. Cal 270. SN not visible. Built on a military action with hinged floorplate, DBL set triggers, and a spoonhandle bolt. Has a 24” tapered sporter weight bbl without sights and is mounted in a European walnut stock with roach back, 15” over a crystallized waffle pad. It has a Greener-style thumb safety. The receiver, floorplate and trigger guard are engraved in Germanic foliate patterns with punch-dot background and has vignettes of a stag and hind on the floorplate and a raebuck on the trigger bow. The receiver is mounted with a Redfield base and rings containing a Bushnell scopechief 3-9x scope. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl retains 92-94% thinning blue, the receiver, floorplate and trigger guard are silvered case colored and the wood is sound retaining most of its custom finish. The bolt handle has been modified to clear the scope. Bright shiny bore. 4-50913 JR14 (1,000-2,000)
