TWO WORCESTER “KING OF PRUSSIA” TRANSFER DECORATED CUPS AND WORCESTER BOWL. 19th century. 1& 2) Worcester mugs with molded handles transfer decorated with half profile bust of King of Prussia beneath putti in act of bestowing laurel wreath. Figure pointing to large military trophy with banners identifying various victories. The whole trumpeted by an angel. Beneath trophy is mark of Robert Hancock, Worcester and dated “1757” beneath portrait. 3) Bowl decorated overall with Classical pastoral scenes. Signed with mark of Robert Hancock, Worcester beneath an urn. SIZE: Smaller” 3-1/4″ h. Larger: 4-1/2″ h. Bowl: 3″ h x 6″ dia. PROVENANCE: From the private collection of Dorothy-Lee Jones. CONDITION: Smaller cup with repair to handle, otherwise good. Larger cup with glaze imperfection at midpoint between putti, portrait and portrait, otherwise very good overall.
