GROUP OF TWELVE WEDGWOOD TABLE WARES. 18th and 19th century. Including an 18th century oval basket weave soft paste dish with reticulated borders from the Frank Arnold collection, an unmarked transfer printed molded plate of exotic birds, second half 18th century, two blue and white decorated plates, two plates in the Oriental taste; one decorated with heron in the midst of flowering bushes, a chrysanthemum pattern desert plate, Ex-Webber collection, a round footed sauce bowl with undertray decorated with borders of scrolling floral garlands and with green bands, impressed with mark “WEDGWOOD”, a small floral decorated beaker, a dark brown bowl with floral sprigs, a bulbous stem vase and a Worcester stein with the phrase “What tho my gates be poor/Take them in good part/Better cheer may you have/But not with better heart”. SIZE: 10-1/4″ x 9-1/4″ (largest plate); 5″ h (round sauce dish); 4″ h (beaker). PROVENANCE: From the private collection of Dorothy-Lee Jones. CONDITION: All pieces generally in good condition.
