EDGAR BUNDY (British, 1862-1922) SIXTEENTH CENTURY GENTLEMEN AT A TABLE. Oil on canvas interior scene shows two older gentleman seated in fancy red upholstered armchairs conversing across a large table in what appears to be a heated argument. A large tapestry is the backdrop next to a doorway. Signed lower right. Housed in what appears to be its original fancy gilt gesso decorated frame (with some losses) having a gold liner with “Edgar Bundy, A.R.A.”. SIZE: 20″ x 30-1/4″. PROVENANCE: Woolworth Estate (F.W. Woolworth Dept. Store). CONDITION: Very good having a light green varnish under blacklight. 9-21399 (4,000-6,000)
