*1903 SPRINGFIELD RIFLE.

*1903 SPRINGFIELD RIFLE. Cal 30-06. SN 739160. 24” bbl dated “12 – 17”. 100% correct. Bore shows as new. Crisp “D.A.L.” inspector stamp and circle “P”. Has orig sling dated “1918”. Rifle appears un-issued. CONDITION: Receiver is 98% plus finish (still has dried Cosmoline on it), bbl has 98% finish with a virtually brand new bore. Front band shows minimal wear, middle band shows as new. Rear sight assembly and base show very minimal wear. Trigger guard and floorplate assembly show 90% with some turning plum. Wood is outstanding with the exception of a 1” wide by 1/8” deep chip at the toe just at the buttplate. Buttplate has some surface rust. A very minor repair for a competent woodworker on an almost new gun. Finger grooves show no wear. 4-57802 BK18 (2,500-4,500)
