RARE LIBBEY GLASS COLORFUL ADVERTISING POSTER. This colorful late 19th Century lithograph poster depicts the Libbey Glass Co’s factory in full operation at the World Columbian Exposition with elaborate building with banners flying with the words “Libbey” and innumerable people of all denomination mulling about outside. This was printed and distributed as an advertisement for the Blue Ridge Household Chemicals. SIZE: 21″ x 29″. CONDITION: Originally had metal bands at top and bottom now missing. A crease extends fully across the lower portion of image, starting with 4” tear and right and ending with 3” tear on left. Some old tape reinforcement at that point. A couple of other creases scattered throughout the picture. Light discoloration distributed in the sky. Tear in upper right corner near Blue Ridge advertising as well as some thick soiling at that point. Some discoloration and imperfection along the border. Color generally good. A rare Columbian Exhibition piece for Libbey Glassware. 1-9443 (350-550)
