*1903 SPRINGFIELD RIFLE. Cal 30-06. SN 623246. 24” bbl dated “2 – 1916 NRA” sales gun. Gun is 100% orig with no modifications. CONDITION: Receiver has 90-92% orig finish. Bbl has 96-98% orig finish. Front band and middle band have 98% finish. Bolt has 95% orig finish. Bore is slightly corroded but reasonably bright and should clean to excellent. NRA marked trigger guard is 90% condition and floorplate is 70% condition. Orig checkered buttplate with 98% finish. Wood is in very good to excellent condition showing some handling marks. The most significant being a 1/2” by 1” chip in the right side of the stock down at the toe. Rifle is also equipped with orig sling. Sights are orig and unaltered with a nice crisp “J.S.A.” cartouche and circle “P”. Mechanically fine. 4-57792 BK23 (2,500-5,000)
