**STEN MARK 5-S 9MM (C&R). SN S230381. Cal. 9mm. 8” bbl. British manufacture of 1944 with British proofs. Includes bayonet and magazine. Operates smoothly when cycled by hand. Bolt SN does not match gun SN, however, passes function check, mag fits well. PROVENANCE: A. William Vallerand Collection. CONDITION: Overall finish and appearance on metal parts is about 80% in the blue with some tiny flakes of corrosion. Wood is a deep, rich brown on buttstock with handling marks on the buttstock. There is a cosmetic wood check down through the buttstock on the right and left side. This is a cosmetic blemish, and not structural. Bore is excellent, shiny and bright with strong rifling. Parts appear to be correct and vintage. Bolt face is excellent. A highly desirable model with really fine workmanship. A very nice example of the Mark V. 4-39874 JWK205 (7,000-10,000)
