JULES MOIGNIEZ (French, 1835-1894). TWO DOGS AND A RABBIT. Gilt bronze figural group shows two hunting dogs at point with a rabbit nestled beyond a rock in leaves. One dog is a long haired setter type, the other a short hair type. Signed “J.Moigniez”. The oval shaped bronze is mounted to an oval wood base. SIZE: 7-3/4” h x 14-3/4”l. CONDITION: End part of tail to short hair is cracked and bent. Finish shows some wear and some uneven spotting. Otherwise very good. 5-63770 (3,000-4,000)
