*MERKEL MODEL 360 EL DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 410 ga. Beautiful box lock double with 28” bbls, choked FULL/MOD with concave matted rib, single brass bead and double lump with double bite and Greener crossbolt. The boxlock receiver has the trademark Merkel double scallop with coin finish and beautiful deep engraving. The left side has three partridges in a woodland scene, and on the right side two flying woodcock in a woodland scene, surrounded with arabesque scrolls and arabesque patterns on the floor plate and trigger guard. It is fitted with ejectors and double triggers. The breech end of the rib is marked “No. 95 of 100”. It has spectacular French walnut wood with splinter forearm and straight stock, 14-1/4” over a black plastic buttplate. Accompanied by an original green, pebble-grain leather covered trunk case with maroon leather trim and green velour lining, containing the original owner’s manual and papers. Also accompanies is its original cardboard box and shipping sleeve. SN 383562. CONDITION: Extremely fine, as new. Retains virtually all its original factory finish to both metal and wood with a few minor handling and storage marks. The case is equally new. 4-50012 JR397 (3,500-5,000)
