*FRANCOTTE BOX LOT DOUBLE BARREL SMALL BORE SHOTGUN. Cal. 28 ga. Dainty little shotgun with 26-1/4” bbls, matted tapered rib with single brass bead, choked FULL/IMP-CYL, double lump with double bite and Greener crossbolt. It has double triggers and ejectors. The top of bbls are marked “Von Lengerke & Detmold” on the right side and “U. S. Agents New-York” on the left. The receiver is square-backed with heavy fences and nicely engraved in arabesque patterns with about 70% coverage. It has straight grain walnut wood with splinter forearm and half-grip stock, 14” over a Decelerator pad. Bbl water table is marked indicating 2-1/2” chambers. The stock has 2-1/4” drop at the heel and 1-1/4” at the comb with slight cast off and it weighs 5 lbs 0.4 oz. SN 81930. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbls retain 94-96% strong blue with light muzzle wear and slight thinning over the chamber areas with some freckled surface discoloration at the breech end. The receiver retains 35-40% fading case colors with the balance turned silver. Wood is sound and retains 40-50% of an oil finish with numerous use and handling marks.
