A QUANTITY OF .50BMG MACHINE GUN AMMUNITION. Approximately 3,000+ .50 caliber machine gun ball rounds, of which there are 21 U.S. G.I. ammo cans of about 100rnds linked ball ammunition. The rest is in 10 rnd cartons (South American). There is also a small wooden crate with some more linked .50 cal rounds, some extra links, and some loose rnds. Ammunition appears to be mostly of South American manufacture. Shipping labels on some of the cans indicate purchase from “Hanson”. PROVENANCE: Alan Brown Collection. CONDITION: Ammunition is clean. Links in some of the cans showing some slight corrosion due to humidity within can at time of sealing. Cans range from very fine to fair condition.
