**FN/FAL MARKED CAL 1957 (C&R). SN 1L8940. Cal. .308. 24-1/2” bbl. Manufactured by Fabrique Nationale. Small “IS/R59in a circle)”. Left side of receiver has “RIFLE. 7.62 mm FN(C1)”. Includes magazine and web sling. Magazine fits well in the mag well and gun looks all vintage. Carrying handle is of hard plastic. Appears fully functional, firing mechanism operates smoothly when cycled by hand. Parts seem correct and orig to the gun. PROVENANCE: A. William Vallerand Collection. CONDITION: Overall finish and appearance is very fine, the receiver and bbl retaining 90%+ of its orig gray-blue finish. There are some brassing to the high points. Wood is a very nice, deep, rich brown with the slightest of handling marks throughout. Forearm shows a couple of dings and one gouge on the left side. Really a fine condition gun in sound and serviceable condition. Bbl is excellent, shiny and bright. The quality of the bluing makes this specimen extremely fine and desirable. 4-39870 JWK202 (14,000-18,000)
