*RARE SMITH & WESSON REGISTERED MAGNUM DA REVOLVER. Cal. 357 Mag. SN 46545. Registered number 277. Blue finish with 6-1/2” bbl, Call bead, Partridge front sight and square notch rear sight with checkered hammer spur that has serrated sides. The trigger & hammer both have patent numbers. It is fitted with post-war checkered medallion magna grips. The serial number is followed with a star and the left side of the grip frame, under the grips, has a small diamond indicating factory refinish with the date “3.48”. It is accompanied by a Smith & Wesson letter fully identifying this revolver and indicating shipment on December 4, 1935 to Commodore E.F. McDonald, 3620 Iron St., Chicago, Illinois. It further states that the single action trigger pull was 3.5 lbs. and that it was sighted at 50 yards with magnum ammunition using a 6 o’clock hold. CONDITION: As noted.
