GEORGE MCCONNELL (American, 1852-1929) PORTLAND HEADLIGHT. Fine oil on canvas Maine coastal scene shows the large lighthouse with buildings atop a grass covered bluff with rocky coastline. Waves pummel the edge with white foam. A storm has passed leading to patches of blue sky and pink highlighted white clouds. Signed lower left and dated “1900”. Housed in an antique gesso decorated gilt frame. SIZE: 13″ x 22″. CONDITION: Some inpainting, very good. 9-99538 (1,000-1,500)
