CASED LONDON COLT MODEL 49 POCKET REVOLVER. CAL. 31. Usual configuration with 4″ oct. bbl, London address with stagecoach hold up scene cylinder, iron trigger guard and back strap, 1-pc walnut grips and a presentation on the back strap that appears to be “C.P. HARWELL”. Walnut English style casing for a 5″ revolver containing an iron two cavity Colt mold, nipple wrench, Eley’s cap tin and a small Dixon bag flask. SN 4902 CONDITION: Good to very good, all matching. The bbl retains an even brown patina. The cylinder retains about 60% visible scene. The frame and grip frame are in even gray-brown metal color. The grips are sound and retain most of a refinish. The bore is strong with good rifling, but dark. The case, with loose joints retains 65-75% orig. varnish. The lining is strong, faded on the bottom and worn where the sight has rubbed. The mold is mostly a brown patina with light pitting. The flask is very good retaining about 75% orig. finish with a broken spring. 4-45488 Z304 (1,500-3,000)
