BAYARD DOUBLE BARREL HAMMER SHOTGUN WITH WELLS FARGO MARKINGS. CAL. 12ga. Belgian made double with 18-3/8″ “twist finish” bbls marked with 1892 patent date on rib with the makers’ name on the lock plates. Checkered wood with splinter forearm and semi-pistol grip stock with checkered hard rubber buttplate. “W.F.&CO’S EX.” stamped on the water table in a style not previously encountered for Wells Fargo by this cataloger. SN 120078 CONDITION: About good. No orig. finish remains. The bbls being a light gray patina with silvered case colors on receiver and lock plates. The wood is sound with some fill areas around the lock plates and retains most of a recent refinish. The extractor is missing. Dark pitted bores. 4-44779 JL198 (500-2,000)
