SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1873 RIFLE. SN 248004. Cal. .45-70, 32-5/8″ round bbl. The “SWP” inspector cartouche is dated 1888 but this still has the ski-jump rear sight. CONDITION: Rust-brown patina overall with hints of blue showing through. The stock has some severe dents around the trigger guard and heavy scratching on the left side.
