DESIRABLE 1920 HERCULES POWDER CO. ADVERTISING POSTER. Titled “DON’T YOU FOOL ME, DOG!”. 25″ x 15-1/2″ with the image of a shabbily dressed black man holding an old muzzle loading fowler standing on a snow covered log with a skinny dog sniffing in the foreground and a rabbit escaping in the background, by F.M. Spiegle. The bottom of the page is advertising for the Hercules Powder Co. and their various smokeless and black powders. CONDITION: Fine to excellent with image sharp and clear and the colors orig., crisp and bright. There is slight staining near the bottom edge with a tear at each bottom corner, at the top right corner and one or two others on the edges. Otherwise, it is excellent, a very scarce and desirable poster. 4-45321 JL409 (2,750-4,250)
