SUPERB OIL ON BOARD PAINTING OF QUAIL ATTRIBUTED TO A.F. TAIT. Spectacular painting of Bobwhite quail, 21-1/2″ x 13-1/2″ image size with five quail in the foreground on a grassy knoll watching a hunter and dog approach down a path from a wooded area in the background with fluffy white clouds in the sky. This painting is executed in great detail with accuracy in colors and confirmation of the quail. The frame material is 3-3/4″ wide. This painting was purchased by the late Mrs. Forgett; directly from a descendent of A.F. Tait. At the time, she also acquired two other paintings which are signed A.F. Tait. CONDITION: The image remains sharp and clear with the colors crisp and bright having a slightly crackled finish. The frame is fine with some light oxidation to the gold paint with minor nicks and scratches and some old mildew. 4-45337 (5,000-8,000)
