CIVIL WAR USED ROBY 1860 PATTERN CAVALRY SABER. Usual pattern with 35″ slightly curved blade. Single stopped fuller with 3-branch knuckle hand guard, leather wrapped handle with twisted wire wrap and oval pommel cap. Accompanied by its orig. nickel plated scabbard. The left ricasso is marked with the makers name and address and the right ricasso marked “U.S./1863/A.G.M.” CONDITION: The blade is mostly bright with some surface discoloration with clear markings. The hand guard and pommel cap retain about 75% dull nickel. The handle wrap retains about 85% orig. leather that has been treated. The scabbard retains about 50% orig. nickel flaked to dark patina. 4-45376 Z370 (400-700)
