D-GUARD CONFEDERATE TYPE SIDE-KNIFE. Hand forged clip point 13-1/2″ blade, 1-3/4″w at the hand guard, with iron D-guard and round hardwood handle with a swell in the middle. The knuckle guard has a corresponding swell in the center. CONDITION: The metal has a dark brown patina overall with light surface rust and nicks on the edge of the blade. The handle is very good and the quillion of the guard has been broken away for a long time as it is well patinated. 4-45087 JL188 (1,000-1,500)
