LOT OF TWO PAIRS OF INDIAN WARS SHOULDER BOARDS. 1) Pair of American Indian War Period Dress Russian Enlisted Shoulder Knot Rank Insignia. A matched pair of Russian shoulder knots (circa 1880-90) with dark blue wool pads having the numeral “2″ embroidered in gold on each. The knots are of gilt cloth wire each with a general service eagle button. The undersides are of black wool with brass hardware. CONDITION: Excellent. 2) Rare pair of American Indian War period medical officer’s Russian shoulder knot rank insignia. A matched pair of shoulder knots (circa 1880-90) with black wool pads having captain’s rank insignia embroidered in silver wire framing the old English letters “M.D.” in the center of each. Knots are of gilt cloth wire. The undersides are of black wool with nickel plated brass hardware marked “Warnock & Co.” 4-45402 (500-800)
