UNMARKED FLINTLOCK FOWLING PIECE. CAL. 12ga. 42” bbl. Ketland lock does not fit well, possibly due to repairs and reconstruction around the lock area. The tiger stripe stock is very thin at the wrist and the trigger guard has a very short rear tang. The stock has been divided 15 1/2” in front of the lock and is possibly a replacement from there forward, although the grain matches well. The ramrod is a replacement. NSN CONDITION: Heavy rust-brown patina overall. The wood shows several repairs since the orig. refinishing and there are new cracks at the butt, wrist and right side of the front of the stock. The lock is frozen, bore is poor. 4-45079 FS10 (650-1,150)
