R.E. LEMAN FULL-STOCK KENTUCKY. CAL. 38. Fine small Kentucky with 37-3/8″ oct. bbl with small brass front sight and fixed rear sight. The top flat in front of the chamber area is marked “R.E. LEMAN/LANCASTER PA/WARRANTED”. The flat lock plate is unmarked. It is stocked in dark, applied grain tiger striped stock with a simple brass trigger guard and 2-pc patch box with crescent buttplate and dbl. set triggers. The forestock is ovoid shaped with integral ramrod groove and two small brass guides. CONDITION: Very good. The iron retains a very dark heavy patina, as does the wood. The stock has an old repaired crack through the wrist. Otherwise is fine with its unusual paint applied striping. 4-45717 JL346 (1,250-2,250)
