*WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 ALTERED SADDLE RING CARBINE. Cal. 44WCF. Standard carbine with nickeled bbl, receiver and buttplate with blued magazine tube, bbl bands, hammer and lever. Both sides of the receiver are engraved in script “THE RIFLEMAN”. The lever has been modified to an oversized loop reminiscent of the carbine used by Chuck Connors in the TV series “The Rifleman”. The loop has a further modification that each time it is closed it caused the hammer to drop and therefore there is no safety. SN 474578. CONDITION: Excellent, as refinished.
