EARLY 18TH CENTURY BANISTER BACK ARMCHAIR. Urn and ball finial, double ball turned stiles and legs, four turned banisters. Crest is cut out in a rosette and scroll form. The front stretches are elongated vase forms flanking a ball and rings. The side and rear stretches are plain. Painted black with a replaced rush seat. Probably from the Sowle-Seabury House in Tiverton, RI. SIZE: 50 1/2″ h. Seat height 17 1/2″. CONDITION: Restored with replaced crest and feet. 9-90648 (800-1,200)
