UNUSUAL ZITAN AND RED LACQUER KANG TABLE.

18th/19th century, China. Raised on two U-shaped legs. The body decorated with relief carved Greek key fret pattern with hidden drawer constructed of Huali wood, the top constructed of huali and framing a lacquered panel imitating marble. SIZE: 39-1/8″ w x 13-1/2″ h x 14-5/8 d. CONDITION: Possibly a married set. Zitan elements with some age cracked, shrinkage to wood. Some replacement parts. Huali drawer a later addition. Top frame with worn edges and some repairs. Lacquer panel with age cracks and repairs along edges. Some joints restuck. 49353-2 (60,000-80,000) – Lot 4327
