19th century, China. The vase in baluster form with an accentuated shoulder tapering to a tall cylindrical neck and ending at a rolled top rim with scalloped edge. The body painted with alternating reserves of figures in a court yard, flanked by cartouches of birds perched above a blossoming tree all done on a stippled ground accented with vines and flowers.
