*HIGH ORIGINAL CONDITION 16 GAUGE PARKER “VHE” SHOTGUN WITH SINGLE TRIGGER AND BEAVERTAIL FOREND.

SN 242157. Cal. 16 ga. 2-5/8″ Chambers. 1 Frame. 26″ Bbls are unmarked on matted rib. Bbl flats are stamped with Ilion marks with date code “PK” (June 1941), as well as chokes (imp cyl and mod) and proofs. Splinter is of reinforced type. Case hardened action with all correct markings on water table, features automatic safety and single selective Parker trigger. It is engraved in usual “V” style with wiggle borders and screw surrounds. “PARKER” is engraved on bottom of action. Blued trigger guard has SN on tang. Lightly figured American walnut Parker Ilion capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14-1/8″ over Parker dogs head buttplate. Stock has usual “V” style point pattern checkering. A vacant german silver shield is on toe line. Long beavertail ejector forend has reinforcing bolt and usual release. This gun is not listed in the PARKER GUN IDENTIFICATION & SERIALIZATION ledger (too late). Bore diameter: left -.673, right – .673. Bore restrictions: left – .011 (IC), right – .016 (mod). Wall thickness: left – .030, right – .026. Drop at heel: 2-1/4″, drop at comb: 1-9/16″. Cast: Neutral. Weight: 7 lbs. 7 oz. LOP: 14-1/8″. PROVENANCE: Remarkable William Larkin Moore Private Estate Collection of Fine Sporting Arms. CONDITION: Excellent, very close to new, with only one or two minor flecks in excellent orig bbl blue. Action retains essentially all of its color with some minor loss due to flaking on right side of trigger plate. There are some very light speckles on left side of action. Trigger guard has some light flecking but retains nearly all of its blue. Case colors on forend latch are nearly all intact, but lacquer is mostly gone. Hinge pin retains essentially all of its temper blue. Stocks retain essentially all of their varnish finish, with a few nicks and dings, which has considerable patterning covering 80% of butt and forend from contact with inside of gun case or sock. Bores are excellent. Action is tight. Ejectors are strong and in time. Trigger works. A superb untouched benchmark Parker. 50594-25 MGM120 (6,500-11,500) C&R – Lot 3476
