*FINE .410/ 28 GAUGE AYA MODEL NO. 1 DELUXE SIDELOCK EJECTOR GAME GUN WITH CASE AND BOX.

SN 16-03-184-01. Cal. 410/28ga. 28″ Chopper lump bbls with concave, matted game ribs are marked “AYA – Aguirre & Aranzabal – MADE IN SPAIN” on tops of right bbls. Bbl flats are stamped with Spanish nitro proofs with 20 ga. 2-3/4″ chambers, and .410 with 3″ chambers, along with “MAGNUM”. Bottoms of right bbls are stamped with importers name and address (“ARMES DE CHASSE”). Coin finished small sized sidelock action features non-automatic safety, bushed strikers, gold band tumbler end cocking indicators, and dbl triggers (front articulated). Action and lockplates are engraved with full coverage large, shaded, open scroll with acanthus highlights. Bottom of action is engraved “No. 1 Deluxe”. Single beaded trigger guard with more scroll on bow, has part of SN inlaid in gold on tang. Attractive, finely marbled and nicely stump figured European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-5/8″ over checkered wood butt, and features elongated drop points, and diamond hand with point pattern checkering. A vacant gold oval is on toe line. Each bbl set has its own splinter ejector forend, each with Anson release. 28 ga BBLS: Bore diameter: left -.542, right – .542. Bore restrictions: left – .015 (mod), right – .010 (IC). Drop at heel: 2-3/16″, drop at comb: 1-7/16″. Cast: approx 1/4″ off. Weight: 5 lbs. 14 oz. LOP: 14-5/8″. .410 BBL Set: Bore diameter at muzzles: left -.393 (full?), right – .397 (mod?). Drop at heel: 2-1/4″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Cast: approx 1/4″ off. Weight: 5 lbs. 13 oz. LOP: 14-5/8″. Brown leather case with stitched leather corners is lined in dark green felt, and has black leather AYA label stitched into lid, and contains a key. Also included is the orig box for this gun, with correct end label. PROVENANCE: Remarkable William Larkin Moore Private Estate Collection of Fine Sporting Arms. CONDITION: Excellent, approximating new, with some light handling and assembly marks on wood and metal. Coin finish of action has a hint of darkening. Bores are excellent. Mechanically excellent. Case is excellent with only a very few minor marks. Interior cloth has some compressions and rubs. Box is excellent with some light rubs on bottom, and a touch of soiling.
