*EXCEPTIONALLY RARE 410 IVO FABBRI SIDELOCK EJECTOR SINGLE TRIGGER OVER-UNDER GAME GUN WITH SUPERB BAROQUE ENGRAVING BY TOMASONI WITH CASE.

SN E642. Cal. 410. 3″ Chambers. 26″ Demi-bloc bbls, with flat, matted, ventilated rib, are engraved “IVO FABBRI – BRESCIA” on left side of top bbl, and “VACUUM ARC REMELTING STEEL” on right. Bbl flats are stamped with 1989 Italian nitro proofs for 3″ chambers. Coin finished, low profile, small frame action features non-automatic safety (SAFE engraved), engraved line tumbler end cocking indicators, and single non-selective trigger. Action and lockplates are engraved with near full coverage very well cut and detailed swirling Baroque scrolling acanthus with multi-sized floral terminations and highlights, in fine stippled background. “IVO FABBRI” is in a clearing amongst the foliage on bottom of action. Engravers signature, “C. Tomasoni” (the highly regarded Claudio Tomasoni) is on trigger plate. This classic engraving extends to trigger guard which has SN on tang. Strikingly veined and marbled, as well as lightly figured European walnut flared pistol grip buttstock measures 14-5/8″ over black rifle type pad. Point pattern checkering with line borders is at grip. Matching one piece semi-beavertail fluted ejector forend has Anson type release with button and Fabbri’s signature reinforced tip. Diameters at muzzles: top -.383 (Full?), bottom – .393 (Mod ?). Drop at heel: 1-9/16″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Cast: approx 1/4″ off. Weight: 6 lbs. 4 oz. LOP: 14-5/8″. Tan leather case with stitched leather corners by Nizzoli, is lined in maroon velvet, and contains straps and key. PROVENANCE: Ex-Robert E. Petersen Collection. CONDITION: Excellent, essentially as new, with only a sprinkling of light handling and assembly marks on all fine factory finishes. Mechanically crisp, appears unfired since proof. Case is excellent, with a few minor scuffs in leather. Interior is excellent with some very light compressions. The esteemed firm of Ivo Fabbri manufactures approximately two guns per month, all of the highest quality, an exceptionally few of these are small bore. 50819-30 (75,000-125,000) – Lot 3310
